Accessible Gardening

Accessible gardening is about helping everyone to participate in and benefit from gardening and recognises that people’s needs change over time.

For advice on how to adapt your gardening to specific health conditions, a good place to start is the ‘Get Gardening’ section of the Thrive website at https://www.thrive.org.uk/get-gardening

Thrive has guides covering dementia, stroke recovery, visual impairment, wheelchair users and mental health. They also offer inspiration for people with no garden so everybody can reap the benefits of growing and connecting with nature.
